In 2021, Basant Motors awarded $32,000 in scholarships to celebrate their 30th anniversary. Surrey Mayor Doug McCallum presented the scholarships to 16 students out of over 650 applicants.
According to the general manager at Basant, Amrit Bath promised that there would be more grants coming in to support students. He also explained that the value of the scholarship will increase annually to support as many students as possible.
