However, students from Karnataka and West Bengal should have a minimum of 75% marks for Boys and a minimum of 70% marks for Girls.
Category B
This category is for students who are pursuing for Industrial Training Institutes (ITI). The Jindal scholarship board requires that students in this category must have passed their last exam with a minimum of 50% marks for Boys and a minimum of 45% marks for Girls.
Category C
Students in this category must have passed the 12th class and want to enroll in the graduating courses such as, Bcom, BBA, BA, BHM, BCA. The Sitaram Jindal Scholarship board requires a minimum of 65% pass mark for Boys and a minimum of 60% pass mark for Girls. However, students from Karnataka and West Bengal must have a minimum of 70% Marks (Boys) and 65% marks (Girls) to become eligible.
Category D
This category is for students pursing their post graduation courses like, MCA, MPhil, M. Com, MA, MBA, M.SC., and other similar courses. The Jindal scholarship requires that students in this category must have passed a minimum of 65% (Boys) and 60% (Girls) in their graduation. However, students from Karnataka and West Bengal must have a minimum of 75% mark (Boys) and 70% marks (Girls).
Category E
Students pursing their diploma courses in Medicine, Engineering, Journalism and other courses are eligible for the Jindal scholarship. The scholarship requires that students in this category must have passed with a minimum of 60% marks (Boys) and 55% marks (Girls) in their last exam.
Category F
This category is strictly for students interested in pursuing Engineering and Medical courses. The Jindal scholarship board requires that students must have passed with a minimum of 70% marks (Boys) and a minimum of 65% marks (Girls) in their last exam. However, students from Karnataka and West Bengal must have a minimum of 75% marks (Boys) and a minimum of 70% marks (Girls) in their last exams.

Benefits of Sitaram Jindal Scholarship
The benefits of the Sitaram Scholarship is based according to the category of the applicant. Each of the categories have its unique benefits.
Category A: Selected Students in this category will receive Rs 500 per month as a scholarship for one year.
Category B: Selected Students will receive Rs 500 per month Scholarship for Government college and Rs 700 per month for Private ITI.
Category C: Students selected in this category will receive Rs 600 to Rs 1000 per month as a scholarship for one year.
Category D: All students in this category are entitled to Rs 800 to Rs 1200 per month.
Category E: Selected students will receive Rs 800 per month (Boys) and Girls will get Rs 1000 per month for one year.
