1. Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship
UniSQ is offering undergraduate students an opportunity at the annual Chancellor’s excellence scholarship. This scholarship awards the most outstanding academic achievers with score of ATAR 97 and above. It is available for students who completed Year 12 in 2022 and are commencing their studies at UniSQ in a bachelor’s degree program in 2023.
Eligibility: applicants must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident. He/she must be an undergraduate, a full-time student, score above ATAR 97, and be commencing study in 2023 either on-campus or enrolled online.
Benefits: $24,000 for students offering a 32 study unit degree and $18,000 for students offering a 24 study unit degree. Additional benefits include; $5,000 study abroad package (optional), and an opportunity to participate in a leadership and development program as well as the UniSQ Student Ambassador Program. The cash will be disturbed annually till the duration of recipient’s program.
Deadline: application closes 10 March 2024. Applicants must submit all required documents before the closure date.

2. Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship
This USQ scholarship awards outstanding students with at least 88 ATAR. This scholarship is open to newly graduated Year 12 students commencing their bachelor’s degree in 2023.
Eligibility: applicants must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident. He/she must possess at least ATAR 88, a full-time student, and be commencing the undergraduate program in 2023, either on-campus or enrolled online.
Benefits: $20,000 for students offering a 32 study unit degree and $15,000 for students offering a 24 study unit degree. Additional benefits include; access to participate in the UniSQ Student Ambassador Program.
Deadline: interested applicants should submit their application before 10 March 2024, to be reviewed for the incoming academic session.

3. University of Southern Queensland Academic Scholarship
If you are not eligible for any of the above opportunities, consider applying for the USQ academic scholarship. The academic requirements for this scholarship is ATAR 84 and above.
Eligibility: same eligibility criteria for Chancellor’s Excellence scholarship, except applicant must possess an ATAR of 84 and above.
Benefits: $6,400 for students offering a 32 study unit degree and $4,800 for students offering a 24 study unit degree. Other benefits include participating in the UniSQ Student Ambassador Program. Funds for awarded students will be disbursed annually for the duration of study.
Deadline: application ends on 10 March 2024. Eligible applicants must ensure their documents are submitted before closure date for review.

4. Medical Research Future Fund PhD Scholarship – Digital Models of Mental Health Care for Children and Adolescents
This scholarship is open to Australian students with a psychology, mental health or public health background seeking to study a PhD program at the University of Southern Queensland. It is funded through the Australian government’s Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF). This program aims to share knowledge about evidence-based psychological practice into affordable, digital solutions for young people aged 7 to 17 years.
PhD’s students interested in the area of mental health care for children and adolescents should apply for this USQ Scholarship.
Eligibility: applicant must have an Honour degree (either First class or 2A honours from an Australian University). OR a Master’s degree with significant research qualifications. He/she must also be a full-time on-campus student at UniSQ, and not a recipient of any scholarship during academic session.
Benefits: $32,000 annually for 3 years for scholars, project research support, access to mentoring and team development opportunities, etc.
Deadline: applicants closes 30 September 2024. Submit all necessary documents before closure date. Inability to submit all information will lead to a void application.

5. Crohn’s & Colitis Australia Inflammatory Bowel Disease PhD Scholarship
This scholarship is focusing on individuals who are at the early stage of their medical careers. It aims graduates in any health care discipline or science seeking to pursue PhD degree.
Eligibility: applicant must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, must have completed a degree, not a recipient of any scholarship, and must outline a research proposal that specifically applies to patients with IBD. Carefully read scholarship terms before applying.
Benefits: total of $75,000 to be awarded to scholars. Annual disbursed funds of $25,000 for 3 years to full-time students. All funds are strictly to be used towards education. Unfortunately, this scholarship does not cover project fees.

6. Geopolymer Concrete Launch Pads PhD Stipend
UniSQ is offering scholarships to domestic and international students seeking to commence a PhD program in 2022/2023. It focuses on geopolymer concrete as protective pad for launch site. Students will be given an opportunity to work with Rock Trade Industries (RTI).
Eligibility: applicants must have completed a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours. He/she must be enrolled in the PhD at UniSQ, and not a recipient of any financial support greater than 75% of the student’s stipend rate.
Benefits: $32,000 per annum for 3 years.

7. Access Excellence Scholarship
3 lucky students will get the opportunity to study any undergraduate program at UniSQ. This Scholarship will be paid during the student’s first year of study at the University of Southern Queensland. Unfortunately, It is not renewable.
Eligibility: open to students commencing their undergraduate program at UniSQ in September 2023. Applicant must be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent resident. He/she must also be enrolled on-campus with a minimum of 3 study units in Study Period 1 2023.
Benefits: $4,000 one-time payment.

8. Clem Jones and Geoff Wright Scholarship
UniSQ will offer a student this scholarship to pursue an undergraduate study in Spatial Science Technology (Surveying), or Spatial Science (Honours) (Surveying). The selected student will be on a fully-funded sponsorship for 3 years.
Eligibility: applicant must be enrolled at UniSQ with a minimum of 6 study unit each academic year. He/she must choose to study either a Bachelor of Spatial Science Technology (Surveying), or Bachelor of Spatial Science.
Benefits: $12,000 to selected student for 3 years.

9. Felicity Purcell Nursing Bursary
This USQ scholarship is open to students commencing their studies in the Bachelor of Nursing. It was established in memory of Felicity Purcell, who was a successful graduate in Nursing. She was also known to be the first as a paediatric nurse in major public hospitals.
Eligibility: applicant must be situated at a regional area within Queensland. He/she must be enrolled on-campus or online and be commencing academic session for Bachelor in Nursing by September 1, 2023.
Benefits: $4,000 award amount (one-time payment)

10. International Student Support Scholarship 2023
This scholarship awards new international students pursuing either an undergraduate, Postgraduate or graduate studies at UniSQ. Students can choose to study online or on-campus. International students will be selected based on passing the entry requirements for the program of study and all courses within the program.
Eligibility: applicant must be an international student. He/she must be enrolled in a full-time study at UniSQ either online or on-campus. Also, applicant must meet the UniSQ academic and English requirements among others.
Benefits: recipients will be awarded a maximum value of 20% of the tuition fees for the duration of their study. UniSQ mandates that scholars are responsible for paying the remainder of their tuition fees.

11. Incoming Study Abroad International Travel Grant
This scholarship is specifically awarding students enrolled in the study abroad program at UniSQ. This USQ scholarship is open to International students commencing or continuing their enrollment in the Study Abroad program, in Semester 1 or Semester 2 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Eligibility: applicant must be an international student and enrolled in UniSQ study abroad program. Scholars must also be commencing or continuing their studies in the Study Abroad program at UniSQ in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Benefits: AUD2000 per semester for the duration of study. The award will be paid directly to recipient’s student account at UniSQ.

General Selection Criteria for USQ Scholarships
To be fully eligible for any of the USQ Scholarships, applicants must adhere to the following selection criteria.
- Applicants must submit their QTAC applications and preferences by the required dates.
- Applicants must place their chosen UniSQ program as their first preference via QTAC. While all students with required ATAR will be automatically awarded the scholarship.
