About OPM Foundation

The Omega Power Ministry (OPM) Foundation was established by Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Chinyere Gift (General Overseer). It is a charitable foundation helping less privileged children (majorly in Nigeria) attain the best education to have a fulfilling career.

The foundation, located in Port Harcourt, has so far helped thousands of students through scholarship opportunities within and outside Nigeria. The General Overseer created the platform on a neutral ground. This means, a Muslim or a Christian can stand a chance in benefitting from the sponsorship program.

You don’t need to alter your beliefs, tribe or religion to participate for this scholarship. Your academic background and need for financial assistance is enough reason to be awarded the Omega Power Ministry Scholarship.

Available Countries for Study

OPM scholars are liable to study in the following regions: United States of America, Canada, Turkey, United Arabs Emirates and Cyprus. There have been occasions where students are sent to study in Benin Republic, Australia and some other Omega Power Ministry affiliated countries.

However, the 2025 OPM scholarship program is limited to students willing to study in an African country such as Nigeria, Benin Republic, Ghana and Cameron.

Scholarship Eligibility

You may have heard or read in the news that Apostle Chibuzor gave a young boy in a viral video a scholarship to study oversea. Well you read right, but that doesn’t mean there are no procedures in winning his scholarship. If you don’t get selected by the OPM Overseer personally, then you must fulfil the following conditions to apply.

• You must be in need of financial assistance
• Must have graduated from secondary school and possess a valid WAEC result or equivalent (e.g. NECO)
• A minimum of 3 credits including Mathematics and English in your SSCE/WASC/NECO/NABTEB/JAMB (just one sitting is required).
• Either a Muslin or a Christian, but must be willing to study abroad.
• Be committed to pursue a higher education.
• Do not apply with any photocopied form/document
• Providing wrong information will lead to disqualification
• You must fill the application form yourself
• You must provide a passport photograph (white background only) and your contact information

How to apply for OPM Overseas Scholarship

The application for OPM has been made easier as applicants can now send in their application via the scholarship website. The following information will be provided upon application:

1. Your personal information: name, date of birth, phone number, email, home address, gender, medical condition etc.
2. Educational information: citizenship, veteran status, highest educational qualification, last/current school attended, year of graduation, course of study, current GPA/percentage/grade, major area of study, intended university, your career objectives.
3. Scholarship details: below are questions asked and how to respond:

Scholarship Benefits

All scholarships under Apostle Chibuzor OPM is fully sponsored by the tithes and offerings of the church. Scholars are placed on a fully-funded sponsorship abroad which includes accommodation, living allowances, flight expenses, clothing, study materials, and others things needed to sustain you throughout your study. Other benefits include easy access to OPM overseer, and connections for job opportunities after graduation.

Selection Process

Need for financial assistance is the major selection criteria for OPM international scholarships. The ministry focuses on less privileged students such as school dropouts, orphans, disabled kids, family tragedy issues, etc regardless of your tribe or religion. These students placed on the top priority for sponsorship.

OPM Scholarship Examination Next Batch

Unlike previously, when applications were mailed, a scholarship examination date will be fixed for eligible applicants. However, it is different now as all applications are submitted via the OPM website. Eligible applicants will then be notified of the next course of action, which entails contacting the applicant and parents, then scheduling a date for an interview and validation of the information provided.
