Who Can Apply?

Jones T-Shirt Scholarship Requirements

• Be a university or college student in the United States.
• If you’re applying for the Winter scholarship, ensure you’re enrolled for the Winter semester; the same applies to those applying for the Fall scholarship.
• Possess proof of enrollment at an accredited college or university.
• Submit an essay of 1,000 words or more (maximum 3,000 words) outlining at least three steps you plan to take in the next year to start a path toward a career that you love.

Essay Requirements

1. Not more than 3,000 words (at least 1,000 words).
2. Essay topics should revolve around:
   • Your passions that could be turned into a career.
   • Ideas for a business based on your interests and skills.
3. Boldly write your full name, phone number, email address, and the name of your school at the top of your essay.
4. Additionally, conduct an interview with a professional with at least three years of experience in your chosen field. Ask the following questions:
   • College courses that had a lasting impact on their career.
   • Aspects of their career they didn’t consider initially.
   • Activities to prepare for a career in their field.
   • What inspired them to pursue their current industry.
   • One important piece of advice for someone considering their field.
   • The biggest hurdle they encountered starting in their field and how they overcame it (Include their answers in your essay).
5. Submit your essay in PDF format.

How to Apply

1. Once you’ve completed the steps above, send your essay (in PDF format) along with a scanned copy of your admission letter or proof of enrollment to [email protected].

Award Amount
