Duration of Study
The standard duration for each major at the Simmons University is four (4) years. Students sponsored by Kotzen Scholarship will have their scholarship withdrawn after four years.
Simmons University Kotzen Scholarship Requirements
Before you proceed your application, you must fulfil the following requirements:
- You must apply as a freshman for the fall semester.
- Applicant must possess an unweighted GPA of 3.3 or higher.
- You may choose to submit standardized test scores alongside your admission application (Optional). If you choose to submit your test score, a 28 or higher on the ACT is recommended and a 1300 or higher on the SAT.
- TOEFL and SAT or ACT scores must be submitted for Non-native English speakers.
- You must provide a college preparatory curriculum including an advanced level math course during, or prior to, your senior year of high school.
- The applicant must also provide a record of taking honors, advanced placement (AP) and international baccalaureate (IB) courses, as available in their high school systems.

How to apply for Kotzen Scholarship
Eligible Students are to apply for the Simmons Kotzen Scholarship program by following the steps below:
- Applicants must complete and submit both their scholarship application and their admission application to the university by December 1.
- Two essays are to be submitted during your application. These essays are in two categories; A short answer and a formal essay. You are to submit your essay to [email protected] before the application deadline. (Essay Topics stated below).
- Applicants are required to submit a resume, which should include your activities and involvements.
- Submit additional/supporting documents such as TOEFL and SAT or ACT scores, school transcript, College preparatory curriculum etc. via email.
- Selected students will be required to complete an on-campus interview, which will be conducted in February. If you are an international applicant unable to make it to campus, a Skype interview may be conducted instead.
