Who can apply for the Spirit of Giving scholarship?
The Spirit of Giving Scholarship is available for High school and college students in the United States. You must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited institution before applying for this scholarship.
Programs of study
Scholars can choose any program/field of study. You are entitled to choose either a four-year university, community college, institutes of technology and accredited credential or certificate program.
Spirit of Giving Scholarship Eligibility
Before you are considered fully eligible for this Scholarship, you must pass the following criterion:
- You must be planning to attend school (college, high school, post-secondary) in the following school year at an institution located in the United States.
- Applicants must not be a former beneficiary of this award.
- You must not be an employee or have a family member working in Wine Country Gift Basket or Houdini Inc.
Required Documents for the scholarship
Applicants are required to submit the following documents during application:
- Proof of enrollment for the upcoming school year. Incoming freshmen should provide a copy of their school’s acceptance letter and supporting documents to prove the relationship with school.
- You must submit an essay of 500-750 words with the following topics:
- How have you advanced the spirit of giving in your community or abroad, either through service or in giving?
- How has the spirit of giving affected you personally?
- How will your college or post-secondary education allow you to be of service to others or give to others?
